About

Start your apiary journey with confidence! Join Master Beekeeper Christopher Kelly of Promise Land Apiaries for a comprehensive short course designed specifically for new beekeepers. Drawing on over 53 years of sustainable, science-based expertise, Chris will guide you through the essential steps to establishing a healthy, thriving colony. This series moves beyond the textbooks to provide practical, hands-on guidance. During the course of the series, Chris will cover vital topics including: * Gear & Acquisition: How to purchase the right bee equipment, protective gear, and the bees themselves. * The Colony: A deep dive into bee biology and population dynamics. * In the Hive: Hive inspection basics, specifically what to look for and why it matters. * Planning for Success: Creating your personalized beekeeping calendar for your first year.
